Yet more Quilts from Malvern

Here are the last of the quilts that our customers displayed at Quilts UK, Malvern.

The first lovely quilt was made by Jennifer Wintle. Jenny made the quilt at Sue Warren's 'French Braid" class.

Jenny called her quilt 'Into the Depths". Love the colours that she has used. The quilting was longarm quilted by Sue Phillips, of School House Quilting.

In the show guide Jenny said," I love the colours of the fish in the border fabric and used this French Braid pattern to expand the colour and to suggest an underwater theme".

Ann Jones design and made this quilt at Sue Warren's 'Build your skills. Make it your own, Machine Sampler' course last year. In the course students chose the blocks and layout of their own Sampler Quilt.

The quilt, which is called 'Sweet Dreams', was made for Ann's very lucky granddaughter who lives in New Zealand.

The blocks are made up of squares and triangles, which are easily recognised. Ann machine quilted the blocks and hand quilting the background.

Linda James made this lovely quilt which she has called 'Floral Delight!'.

Linda's entry in the show guide says, " I love the colours and simplicity of this 'Climbing Garden' quilt. I enjoyed appliqueing the vines and flowers by hand. Having it custom quilted by Sue Phillips of School House Quilting, added another dimension!".

By seeing these lovely quilts, Sue and I hope that lots more of you will be encouraged  to put your quilts,  wallhangings and embroideries into shows and exhibitions,

Busy Bees will be having it's very own Customers Exhibition,  from the 4th to 10th August.  We are calling the show 'Material Girls'. More about this in another blog.
