Exciting Textile Workshop at Busy Bees!!

Design & Make a Decorative Pouch with Sandra Rose - Saturday 28 February 2015

Are you new to the exciting possibilities of free machining or want to perfect your technique? This is a great way to produce a fun and funky original design or maybe you would prefer to work a design in applique with a little hand stitchery? Lovely outcomes are possible. The course is a great opportunity to learn and explore these decorative techniques and there will be plenty of ideas and samples to inspire you along the way.

Broaden your sewing repertoire by learning lots of valuable skills such as how to strengthen a fabric, to line an item, how to use velcro as a fastening with a button closure and how to finish an edging - maybe you will choose a machine finish or maybe you prefer the rhythm of hand stitching where you will learn the secret of how to finish and join a new thread for blanket stitch if this is your choice.
Whatever you choose (and there will be plenty of design ideas on hand if you are unsure) at the end of the day you will be the proud owner of a totally original and unique decorative holder for your phone, glasses or bits & bobs - guaranteed to impress your family and friends!
Sandra is a passionate and enthusiastic textiles teacher with a lifelong experience of working with pupils, teachers and craft groups in the community.
