On Saturday we had a very successful day with the Launch of the new workshop programme for 2015 to 2016, although we had a wonderful day it was tinged with a little sadness because Sandra has decided to retire.  Being the lady she is, she asked me not to make a fuss, but Sandra we couldn't let you go without saying something. I have spent all weekend trying to find the right words to say how grateful we are to you for producing this years programme which has become such a big part of Busy Bees.
Over the years Sandra has inspired so many of you with her beautiful embroideries, her love of her craft and the enthusiasm of passing on her knowledge to those willing to learn. Many of you will have wonderful memories sewn into your apple, holly and stitch files of laughter and FRENCH KNOTS, which I know you are now all experts in.  Sandra has always produced her work professionally with amazing work notes carefully planned to help you continue your work at home, her approach to learning is admirable with kindness and expertise.
I also know how much you love the workshop programme and look forward to it every year with anticipation of the classes she has carefully selected, finding new Tutors, organizing the dates, writing all the descriptions and so much more, I am feeling very nervous now that I have inherited the job and as I have said before I don't have shoes to fill....... but thigh length boots!!!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well in your retirement, to thank you for all your helpful advice, for bringing Busy Bees back after the terrible event of 2013 and your continued support.  We hope that you will be able to stitch away to your hearts content producing wonderful works of art and hope that this is not goodbye but au revoir!!

With love and best wishes
Beccy and Ann
