Lots of excitement today, just got back from Quilts UK in Malvern. Wonderful show with lots of Busy Bees customers' quilts representing south east Wales, which was a real pleasure to see.

Was really over the moon for  Kay, who won  The Small Wall Hangings category. Kay started the wall hanging at my course 'Africa'  last year. Kay likes to go her own way, which I alway encourage all my classes to do, and came up with this gorgeous quilt.

Her hanging is an eclectic mix of scenes inspired by Kenya and southern Africa, which Kay has visited.
It represents its people, culture, nature and wildlife, augmented with embellished mud cloth strips and a wrapped hanging pole. The quilt is pieced, printed, appliqued, embellished and hand quilted. I'm sure you will agree the hanging is really stunning.

All the quilts looked amazing and I will put more photos up over the next few days.
