More Quilts from Quilts UK

Been really busy over the last few days and haven't had time to put more photos on the blog from Quilts UK, Malvern. Got the washing on so have five minutes to put them on before getting more done on the Workshop Programme.

The first quilt was made by Mercedes Norman.
This was Mercedes first machine pieced and machine quilted quilt. Mercedes was very brave, she had never quilted on a machine before, but just went for it and did really well. I love the colours she used. The quilt looked wonderful hanging in the show.

Mercedes made her quilt at Sue's Machine Sampler Quilt course. Sue has been teaching this course for fourteen years now, so really knows what she is doing.

The next quilt was made by Miriam Ham. Again made in Sue's Machine Sampler course. Sue designed this quilt for students who had been quilting for a little longer, but wanted to make a sampler quilt. The corners of this quilt were particularly challenging.

Miriam has called her quilt 'Chinese Memories' as the fabric she used reminds her of a very interesting visit to China that she made 20 years ago.
Since starting her quilting at Busy Bees Miriam has made lots of really lovely quilts.

The third quilt was made by Marilyn Gorman and is called 'Dreams of Autumn'.

Again made at Sue's class, but this time Marilyn has put this wonderful Flying Geese border around the quilt.

I think you will agree,  all three quilts are really stunning. As Sue and I walked around the show we both felt so proud of the amazing women that are all part of  our quilting family at Busy Bees.

I still have a few more quilts to show you. I will try and put them on later today or in the morning, before I go to work.
